Dropmore Park, Buckinghamshire

We were instructed by Royal Bank of Scotland to undertake a complete review of this partly constructed conversion of a substantial Grade I Listed house and grounds, and to provide recommendations for the best solution for the Bank to maximise recovery of the outstanding debt held against the property.

Our development team, working alongside Laing O’Rourke, pulled together a design team to re-model the scheme in line with market expectations, after detailed discussions with the local Planning Authority and English Heritage.

The principle of a joint venture with RBS to develop out the scheme was the aim of all parties. However, with the benefit of the detailed work undertaken, we enabled the Bank to attract a ‘special purchaser’ to acquire the property for a single substantial residence, more than satisfying their debt recovery target.
